I so hate the education ministry ( own comment )
It is due to a few reasons...
1) Chinese is made simple
2) JC students require to take a subject from the other stream
1)Firstly, many students in singapore have made comments tht chinese is a very difficult topic. Students from an english language background had many problems with coping the mother tongue... ( actually i made this point becos i m not included in the damn policy) Chinese is to broken to modules. Using a modular approach, students will be able understand the language from the mere basics till the difficult words. Not only tht, vocab in chinese is going to be simplified, where words tht are not used often in speech is to be removed. Chinese in schools and in examinations are going to be based on speech and oral... and and and.... tian2 xie3 han4 zi4 will be removed from the 'o' levels with effect of 2010.... god damn it ... i m so not affected... irritating... i could hve done better if this stupid policy is implemented soon ... ( ppl : stop complaining... ) and one thing tht i hate so much is the fact tht electronic dictionaries are going to be allowed in the exams... irritating... save them time to check tht 2000++ page silly book...
the second reason i shall highlight tomolo... going back to geog... ( shit the main reason) basically... tht new policy is to create a more well-rounded student... where if you r a sci student.. you r expected to take up an Art stream sub... and the main reason i hate it so much... and putting effort to geog... to hve the hope not to see a geog txtbk or any humanities in my life... and the ministry added my misery...
feeling very very sick now...
think i m going to fail tomolo's paper... irritating lah...
Geog and Physics ...
on the brighter end... i got 4 hrs before the physics paper... giving me some time to go through any doubts...
and praise miss eng for answering my emergency email... she actually did a length explaination on answering a few qns... not bad a teacher... now she made me feel bad... if i m going to achieve like a C for humans... i m letting her and miss kavitha down... ( i feel more terrible now)
Sara is not happy with the JC policy though... unexpected ... he still had to do either maths or sci...
