Stress Thou Now be a Dream
As the Prelims being to end
Let all Memories be like a team
And everyone come together and fend...
Ok it is bad... i know... The prelims hve ended (tht is a good sign) ... ok maybe not ended for us yet... but since there is nothing much to study for the A Maths Pp 2 and the E Maths Pp 1... it is sort of like ended lah... ( for the revision tht is) Some ppl might disagree with me at this part...
After an analysis of the Prelim Papers.... as well as a few commments from some teachers abt the paper and their marking schemes etc etc... as well as a few comments from some teachers tht had begun their marking ( very futile asking them... they refuse to say a lot)... the results of this prelim might prove to be a very big disaster....
Students have claimed tht the papers were not as easy as they thought... ( perhaps for some ppl whom really thought tht the Physics Pp 1 was super easy ( see kkyz's blog for details) seemed to hve begun to give up hope on the passing...
E Maths Paper 2 was to some like a piece of cake ( perhaps it was due to some silly Qn 5 on finding tht h and r )
Many Students agreed to really hate tht English Paper 1 since the qns were slightly tougher as expected.... especially the letter.... Mr Saravannan, a proclaimed english expert, claims tht the paper was tough and he has no hope in getting a good grade for the letter... However thus, students do feel tht the paper 2 was a relieve. I personally found it very pleasant compared to the previous paper...
The Chemistry Paper was tempting... since a lot of students hve begun to put in a lot of hope in this paper... the paper was rather easy and thus easy to make a lot of silly mistakes... I, for example, mixed oxidation and reduction and thus making the latter the former and vice versa...
The A Maths Paper proved to be a great challenge and even top students seemed to hve given up hope on a Volume qn... Top Student, Zheng Yuan Hang, claims tht the qn was slightly misleading and tht he had almost left it blank. Top Student, Deenar Farvin also claims tht this paper was rather easy. A detailed research then shown tht many students skipped the first part of the proving and moved on to the latter where they had to find the rate of change of the volume
News of Students being cheated for the SS has shown tht, there was a rumour tht certain topics such as education and health services were to come up as structured essay qns as well as source-based qns in the SS prelims... and they were circulated from a top student, Saravannan. This news has led students tht hve difficulties in this subject almost to a total failure as both did not come up for the prelims... Students are now hereby warned... DUN BELIEVE THINGS THT MIGHT BE UNBELIEVEABLE... as well as to keep a backdoor for yourself... you dun know when you might be needing it...
The Geography Elective Paper was also seen as one of the average papers... Studies hve shown tht in a percentage check of the mid yr results shown tht several classes seemed to show great difficulty in handling this subject... A trial test was set by Miss Kaur, to show to students wht type of qns would be featured in the 'O' levels. Section B qns for tourism, development and environmental degration hve shown such a level... An Analysis has shown tht the Development Qn was proven easy and thus attempted by the majority... It has shown a drastic drop in Students tht hve usually attempted the Tourism Qn, due to the fact tht the qn was difficult, where students were exposed to other topics in the qn other than Tourism...
So Far, there were no reports of drastic failures ( maybe tht will change since i know i m going to fail physics very very very badly)... though there are reports of students leaving a lot of items behind.. ( For details, please refer to the staff notice board near the HOD room) ...
A Word Of Caution to all Students... The Prelimnary Examinations are set in a way of a gauge to how you would do well for the 'O's... therefore i urge you to begin the quick recaps for the Big one... the sch will commence its nightly study groups with effect from next week ( i believe) and tht i will be revising with students Mathematics both A and E...
On Other News... Students tht are going to the Supreme Court and the SS workshop, you r reminded to hand in your forms latest by Tuesday 28/9...
