Title: First Toa Payoh Secondary School ( FTPSS) is noted for their cleverness but often for their Stupidity. Do you agree? Explain Your Answer.
Schools are said to be places with fountains of knowledge. A place full of intelligence and things to learn each day. However, schools sometimes tend to hve very very very stupid ways of handling a few particular issues. Therefore, i agree to the statement of which Schools do hve cleverness but often their stupidity overules their good minds. in this essay, i shall explain why.
Firstly, FTPSS prefer to hve their students to spend quality time in the hall reading while they carry out their photo taking. By squeezing 1200++ students in a hall with no aircon for a whole hour is one of the worst tortures one can hve. Imagine sitting there for an entire hour with your legs crossed and reading with noise and the heat wave coming in. In science, we hve learnt that ppl take in oxygen and give off carbon dioxide. Even with the doors in the hall open, the amount of carbon dioxide is enough perhaps to suffocate us very soon. ( Ok very siao here ok?) Also, by keeping the prefects here, without proper teachers keeping the discipline, the schools hve never expected that their prefects will be thrown off. Even with the Head prefect going 'Shhhhshhhh' the entire population will just yank yank yank, with exceptions to those that do listen. The schools should in turn send the pupils back to reside in their classrooms and remain there, confined until the teachers return instead of keeping everyone in the hall waiting like idiots. In which my school for instance did ONLY after too much noise.
Secondly, FTPSS should be taking their photos in the hall where an excellent tool known as the curtain as an excellent backdrop instead of using a particulat odd neon green backdrop in the warm quartrangle (sp.) ( inshort the assembly square ) ( the open ground) It is so warm and there is no proper place not only that, there was an accident in my class in which apparently, the backrow of guys actually fell backwards due to the incompetence of the long chair used as well as somebody who was going to fall then he held on someone and like a wave, everyone fell. There is a step and a short staircase in the hall leading from the floor to the stage. It is a safer way and only such a stupid school would come up with such an idea.
Thirdly, FTPSS should be considering their perfects in training. Today, another caning was witnessed by the entire school. Louis was caned and was a prefect-in-training. Why choose a problematic student as a perfect-in-training when you know that you might not be able to get anything out from him? he was given 2 strokes of the cane for clapping for someone who got caned and resorting to violence to a girl. I think that the school should be caning the girl as well. It all falls back to an issue of sextism. why are girls not caned for their actions when the actions are tht terrible. the girl apparently insulted Louis thus causing his dismay which resulted in the girl beaten up. It is said that in the Eyes of Law, everyone is treated as an equal. However, in this issue in fact in the world's issue, girls are not allowed to be caned due to the reason that they are girls. Does that equal that even if the girl is to be doing something that could hve killed someone, she would not be caned only suspended and prisoned?
Therefore, in conclusion, i feel that FTPSS should be noting the above issues and perhaps address them before things get out of hands. If such things would to be repeating again, i would only say tht that is only the incompetence of the sch and perhaps due to the management system. Thank you.
